I cant get the new maf on..there is a clip that i couldnt get off so i just pulled the old one off.i cant get this ruddy clip off

Thats a relief then!! As a matter of interest..is there supposed to be a thick oily residue all over everything that i can see???

ahh..sorry..reading quick as car outside!!..still no idea what the oil seperator is tho

right..only one pipe has oil in it going all the way down(well as far as i could shove my fingers in)..it is the pipe at the top..not the one going to the black box thingy that you can see.

no idea what the coil sep is...can i just wipe the ends with tissue to absorb the residue?

Thanks for that.no there isnt a lot but will i need to clean the residue out? the 2 screws i took out of the maf have plastic treaded on them

MAF is off.is there supposed to be black crap in the 2 connecting pipes where it goes????

i have aproblem ive got half the maf out but the end where it has a clip..i cant move help? right its off..is it supposed to have a black oily substance in it?(the 2 pipes where it fits)?

Right..its a toss up between putting my new MAF on the car or doing the wipers...found some pics seatkid posted so have saved them(how to replace a maf) Im thinking that the MAF will be an easier job! Just got to get the car back as hubby pinched it this morn to go to work!
