I really need a pic of which cables i should be looking at and roughly where they are...the selector cables i believe...i heard a massive clunk today when i was driving and couldnt select third gear for a few miles then i stopped and restarted and it was there.i am desperate for help here!!i know from searches what needs doing, but i really need to know what it is i am looking at.quoted a 4 hour job, so i guess the car will be off road for a while when i start looking at it!!. please please please can sum1 show me?

Even though my cc flashes like a bloke in an anorak,when it finally stops and i have it on low and the blowers up high..its like an arctic breeze!!.had it on yesterday then wen i got out the car the heat that hit me was horrendous.i had the cc on and the windows open,or closes as i was colder that way.

Yup..had to do mine aswell....Loadsa fun it was too!!Sooner they are done the better or it will burn your motor out.You will need copious amounts of wd40..and i used copper ease to regrease them.

Hubbys always been on monthly pay..and we still hanging on ab a thread by week 3!! :) :P

Right peeps..i had a jolly down to the site today,booked myself in and took sum pictures.Took it easy driving coz of the probs im having with the car. The shop has a nicely packed booze fridge and an abundance of wines....For those who come and need hook ups we will all be in view of each other is it isnt too big.It is set in 2 acres of land.BBQ are allowed as long as they are off the ground.The staff were most friendly and you must remember to tell them you are with the forum when you book!so..im booked in..anyone else????.(i do have more pictures.)

called out my dad very early this morn and hes been working on it.The third gear would engage when car is stationary and not turned on,but if you turned it on it would not engage.I dont know what hes done but it will now engage when car is on, something to do with a gate?,There was also a loose cable. Hes had to go but when i speak to him later i will get him to tell me exactly what he did and exactly what went wrong,Yes i def have a roll restrictor problem aswell, which may or may not have caused it. I wasnt exactly with it this morn when he was fixing it as i was up most of the night!Least i dont have to drive everywhere in second gear like i did on the way home. :D Oh it pays sometimes to have a mechanic as a dad! :D

This morning driving home i lost third gear.(being serious here so no wisecracks :D ).I could accelerate but i couldnt for the life of me get the gear into third,,was a bit frightening as i didnt know what to do.I got around it by accelerating in second till the engine squealed then tried getting it into fourth....stalled several times. I already know that i may have a problem with the roll restrictors and the car is booked in on wednesday. First gear was clunky, second was stiff and clunky and hard to get the gearstick into, 4th and 5th were stiff aswell...when i say stiff i mean that i really had to force the gearstick into the positions. I need advice please..could all this be because of a possible problem with the roll restrictors or could it be something else?

Greg..you need to see a doctor if you can do that!!..or do sum adjusting so you dont aim quite so high! :D And which one would you be El-Dingo????????? :D

The problems are more than likely there all year round but just not noticeable till the problem item is used or required! i have a prob at the mo where my washer jet on the passenger side just dont want to squirt water very far...its like a limp hose with a trickle coming out of it whereas the right one gives off a beautiful fan shape waterfall!!..ah well....illl sort it out later! :(
