Nooooooooooooooooooooo wayyyyyyyyyyy....it was sticky and pink and white..with twigs and allsorts stuck to it.so my deduction was marshmallows being the culprit!! :lol:

Right..pitched my tent today...took me 20 mins...Oh what fun it was..all the neighbourhood kids came to watch!!!!i got offered help from a 12 yr old as he was a scout !!.. :lol: .. I found the source of the noise..i looked in the dark last night..looked again this morning before i left..found that my tyres are covered in squashed marshmallow would you believe (well thats what it looked like) and stuck to that was all sorts of crap!!that was the clunking sound!!!!..When i got back this aft I cleaned off the tyres as i didnt think it would be good to leave the sticky stuff on. :lol:

Ok...last night driving home i could hear funny noises coming from my left wheels front and rear...almost like something was hitting something???..i looked but couldnt see anything obvious...its not loud.....but it does seem to be coming from that area...i wasnt sure at first if it was inside the cab.....When i get back this aft im going to jack the car up to see if i can see anything..Now i know i have a loose door card which i cant seem to put back on(no i never took it off)...but the noise isnt from that.Any ideas???? Hmm...My diesel hasnt had too many problems in the 3 yrs we have had it, though any problems seem to all come at once.Wipers, yes problomatic but easy to fix..again the MAF....we have assumed on here that it goes at around the 50k miles mark..that is an easy fix...water ingress i have as yet to encounter that problem, Air conditioning, i have seemed to got away with that aswell as no probs there either. I like the Gal and the kids like the space and comfort. I cant say why not to get one as i havent had as many probs as others have.

How many of you have been distracted by a child in the car????? that as you turn around your feet move???? you cant tell me you havent. I learnt my lesson,as we all do in time.But i have not tampered with my car and have no intention of doing so.........yes..i admitted i speed....but i only do it wen i am on my own and not in built up areas and wen i say speed it is not at 100mph!!, i will not put my kids at risk.it is not worth it...and if i recall correctly, i was doing about 35 in that post you quoted..... And am i wrong in thinking that from what i have read in this thread,that ecu remapping and those "wee boxes" are illegall????? All i was doing was voicing my own opinion..that was all.

Yes it is nice to have a laugh, but i wouldnt put my kids lives at risk doing it.Ok, most of us are careful drivers..but what if something happens that you cant avoid??what will you do then???what would you choose first.....to remove the evidence of tampering with your engine....or help the passengers in your car??? Thats the point i was trying to get across......only my opinion....same as if you need a faster, more powerful car..then you chose the wrong car to drive.the Galaxy car is a family car..not a racing machine...(though i must confess that yess i have exceeded the speed limit WHEN I AM ON MY OWN) this is only my opinion of course, I firmly believe that it is not worth the risk...should not tamper with the engines.

I for one would never alter my engine in any way to make it faster/more powerful.If i had wanted that then i guess i would have bought a different car...and with kids in the back why would you want to make it more powerful???in an accident ,then more power=probably death instead of just injury.I think my car goes fast enough without tampering. And as for whipping the tuning box out of the car in case of an accident...can see it now......kids screaming.....but you get out and open bonnet to get the wee box out!! :lol:

I know when i got lost and went in the wrong direction on the m4...wen i put diesel in as i really was low...wen i was putting the diesel in all i could hear was glugging and it took a while to fill up as the diesel kept splashing back out at me....(yes i had the nozzle in the car properly..) :lol:

Hmm...well my manual for my MkII says it has a 75 litre tank!!so which is right?????? don't you just love girls who speak with a french accent.... :13: :lol: :wub: :wub: Hmm....hubby said that there is a switch that you flick in the car that tells you how many litres are in the tank..that it is 70 but you have 5 in reserve......hmmm..i shall have a read of the manual as ive never heard of this... :lol:
