So..if i get this right.....by dipping the clutch when i am braking from say......70 mph down to first in about...well..quickly....the action of me dipping the clutch actually slows down the braking process??Is that right?..Hmm EL..if i brake any harder my foot will go thru the floor!! :ph34r: and im out in the car most evenings either shopping or learning the routes thru swindon!

Hmmm...could i put 17 inch ones on then????and if i did..what would the impact be on the whole..i.e.....speed..holding capability round corners at speed.. and general hold on the road?Obviously bigger wheels = bigger turning circle...but would bigger wheels affect the driving in any way that is detrimental to the car?

I always dip the clutch wen i am braking hard....i mean when i am slowing down at the end of the dual carraigeway..soon as i touch the brakes..they squeal like a mouse on LSD!!...it is the action of the clutch going down that stops the squeal so i am inclined to believe that it is the brakes.when i look thru the alloys..all i can see is rust!!

Well i dont know..when i brake..it squeals..soon as i dip the clutch..it stops I hear it wen i am driving..(obviously)..i presumed it was the brakes..how will i tell the difference?

But my tyres still look tiny on the Gal....even tho they are the right size..

A nice loverly squeal is heard which goes when i dip the clutch.....so where do I start???..I was told to get them changed in 2k miles wen it was "seviced"...havent even done 1k miles since then..

Ahhh..doesnt time fly......been nearly 5 months now...not done to bad i think..no points..no tickets....learnt alot..a lot more relaxed while im driving now...Only Major thing was the tree.....Im getting better at navigating swindon now..hit the magic last night and did well..i just drove over em all!! :ph34r:..Ive cut down my getting lost time i add on for travelling now....All in ALL..i think im doing ok. :D

Hmm..just been peruseing various peoples profiles and the posts they have done...i must say that there has been a marked change in peoples posting habits...and the amount of time they spend on here....very odd. And no..i wasnt being nosey..(well yes i was)...I was looking for info about my Maf..found some interesrting remarks in one post..that the Maf can affect your brakes if there is a leak sum where???or did i read it wrong????Is this correct????as i cannot for the life of me get my MAF flush with the pipe..it used to be but now it isnt.so im a wondering if that is why my brakes are a wee bit soft i think the word is???takes longer to slow down???

Well the way i was thinking(as it happened to a friend), was that the passenger window seal was naffed and water got in thru the passenger window and dripped down into the passenger footwell..ah well...i know nothing!! :D :D

gonna sound daft..but did you check the passenger window???
