I know that when we got our car, the code in the manual was not the right one...ours was written on top of the head unit..try taking it out and having a gander.otherwise, im as baffled as you as to why it wont accept the code. the ffoc is the ford focus owners club.

welcome gandalf, as you can imagine we get a lot of people asking for help with keycodes, and if you have searched then you will know this.We have to be careful im afraid as this subject is hot!.The Ford dealers i have dealt with have freely given their help in regards to keycodes, all i have done is had to prove ownership..some on here havent even had to do that. As for why it wont accept the keycode i dont know,i can only think that the code may be wrong..have you entered this code before? you could try this site here.. www.ffoc.co.uk

Ok..the screws or whatever they are were tightened up by a garage..now...they have worked loose again.i cant understand this.they tighten up.but over a couple of weeks they work loose..there is a noticeable drag on the car when accelerating from second to third..more than usual.I can only put this down to the MAF.when you get into third, there is a lag.then slow to accelerate.once going though, she seems ok. Wether this is related or not i dont know but my parking sensors packed up this morn ..then started working again late this aft. also, my HU when i switch the ignition on does not play right..i mean almost like its being switched on and off.i switch it off then on again then it is fine. Now..not sure if all these are related..(prob not)..but im thinking i have an electrical fault somewhere? she pulls up hills ok so i know the maf isnt totally knackered...but the drag is very noticeable at slow speed..yes i know you get turbo lag..but this is very pronounced. I have checked fuses already....all are fine so i know there isnt a blown flown..there is no clicking from the relays... Help very much appreciated please. Marian.

cd error 5 is one that means that you have to return to dealership to fix.Ive never yet in all my surfing found a solution for it.I had a ford changer with the error and ford wanted a small fortune and 6 weeks to fix it..so i just flogged it as broken and for parts on ebay.it did sell amazeingly for 15 quid as the guy just wanted the cartridge!.
