  11. By the looks of it..it had been on the undertray a good while...She sounds ok..thats the thing...im happy for you to check it at the kart meet as it isnt too far away till then...I will keep an ear and an eye on her though. The wire that connects to the level sensor is encased in rubber..and it does have a 90 degree kink in it
  12. Ummm..no..i never checked the fuses and no i dont have a multimeter..yes its about an inch thick and made of rubber..i didnt know where it went so i left it off....is it vital to be on?
  13. here is the warning....after all the bleeding work...oil in my hair..all over me neck and hands...
  14. Its not red..its yellow..and the dipstick is not the only way to measure the level of the oil..there is an oil level sensor. Ive had the oil press warning before..and this time i got the yellow oil level warning....i have changed the oil pressure sender..and now the oil level sensor...i put in just over 4 litres of oil.And the oil is at the correct level half way between min and max....she does not sound rattly and apart fromn this warning she drives fine. when the oil level warning comes on along with the yellow oilcan i do get beeps. I have been driving this car for a week with this warning on..i would think that if she is going to seize it would have done so by now.
  15. F***..B*****..i dont f***ing believe it..that bloody oil level warning is still on!! what now?..oil level is correct..everything back on..im at a loss!!!!!
  16. oil filter done..level sensor done..undertray back on..i used brute force to unscrew the cap of the oil filter cannister..i mopped up the spilt oil.. aww crap...just found 2 round seal thingies in the box the filter came on..B*****
  17. Here is a pic with undertray off....i had to undo/take off the skirt to access the two front bolts to take it off. Quick question..how do i undo the oil filter canister thingy to get the old one out..
  18. Ok..couldnt get the bolt thingy undone..i undid the level sensor..and had to dodge pretty quick as it fell out ..made a wee bit of a mess...oops..
  19. Any suggestions on how i get the bolt thingy undone on the sump?i been trying and i cant budge it...
  20. Ok..got the undertray off and found this on it....it is split..but can someone please tell me what it is and where it came from? thanks..
  21. Right..off to put the car on the ramps.. (Thanks Andy)
  22. I asked my father in law about this as he belongs to a working mens club..and he said that as it is a private club, only the members of the committee can see the minutes of any meeting or debates.
  23. If you keep your right foot up a bit when trundling along on a motorway at just under 70..then you will see a rise in mpg.A lot of the time on short journeys i only get about 34/36mpg...its on long journeys that you will see it climb.. As said before..a lot of things factor into it..driving style, speed, lead foot etc....if she is driving well and there are no problems then i would leave it be...but is up to you if you want to throw money at frauds. You said in your original post that you thought 34mpg was excessive..what were you expecting? On the dash display you have 2 settings where mpg is concerned..your total average that you have done and what you are doing at that time. Dont forget...the figures quoted in the manuals are a guide..the best you can expect i reckon..
  24. I disagree..this is not just a chatline....chatlines are where you pay loads of money to talk to other peeps...this site is free but costs a lot of money to run....there is nothing wrong with a joke section..you will find practically every forum on the net has a section for jokes or funnies.. You know..those that say they dont like it say they want it back to how it was a year ago...a year ago there was no banter..there was no meets.....i believe it has changed for the better...just because we have Gals/Shazzas/Bammas/Zaffies/Picassos...does not mean that we dont have other interests..and a forum that only delivers technical help will soon die off. Everything changes..if it didnt..then it would soon get left behind to rot..
  25. Gawd...Thanks for that Andy..will check it out tomorrow. :(
