Hi, I'm trying to change the water pump on my 1997 Galaxy diesel. I've followed the Haynes manual and have removed the alternator, air con compressor, power steering pump but am now struggling with removing the 'accessory bracket' from the front of the engine. Will the water pump come off with this bracket? Do I really need to remove this bracket? Do I need to remove the timing belt cover to get to the water pump? The Haynes manual doesn't say to remove the cover but half of the water pump is behind it! Cheers, Robin.
