you will not be able to change the model of the car the spec it is on the log book is regestered at dvla by the main dealer at point of regestration and can not be changed i know i have tried when a golf i had had the wrong spec on its log book but give it a try as they can cock up some times i took a paddy plate of a old sierra and they gave it a s reg as it was a n.i import in 1998 even when the manufacture stopped in 91 :D

vr has one like that its roof is that shape to get his head in rumours have it his head is sooooooo big it has its own plantry system :D :o

the front panel will go straight on as long as you get the right one as there are three differant ones and it is not coded and you will not lose the presets as they are stored in the radio not the front :lol:

with out seeing it the NO DISC normally refers to there being no changer there so thats probly the fact you have a vw changer and a ford one post a picture of the head unit front and back and i will then try to help :angry:

ck7w all have default code 0000 the first generation bluetooths were individual codes but the 7w had only 0000 same as sony errikson

+but also his is the blaupunkt vw unit not the ford unit so his car has still got speed pulse and not the can bus signal which is two twisted wires on a digital net work and not the single gala /sp signal B)

it has not got a gala feed as it is fed via the can bus lead which his car aint got as it is a newer radio in an older car i.e post 2002 radio in a pre 2002 car :(
