I Need The 2 Front Sun Visors For A Mk1
maglite replied to maglite's topic in Questions about the Ford Galaxy
Yeah Greg that is is a good idea because people like me with Gals that are a bit old, need some bits and bobs. Because the vehicle is of a very practical nature, I think it would be fairly common for interior parts to be fixed/changed, etc.. Hmm, Im also lookin for that chrome surround thats at the back on the ghias, around the number plate area. hehehe I should have just bought a ghia... -

I Need The 2 Front Sun Visors For A Mk1
maglite replied to maglite's topic in Questions about the Ford Galaxy
Well I live pretty close to the A45 as I live very near to the A46. Daventry is just about 30 minute drive down the M40. Ok if you could check 2 see if they are still there, then I would really appreciate your help. Is that place located here?: 74, Lower Broadway, Didcot, Oxfordshire OX11 8AE If so I can punch it in on the old tomtom go and strip anything else I need at the yard. Thanks :D -
I Need The 2 Front Sun Visors For A Mk1
maglite replied to maglite's topic in Questions about the Ford Galaxy
VR6, I'm located in Warwickshire, if you have a paypal account and if it's not too much trouble for you to get them for me, I can easily pay you using paypal.. Or alternatively if you let me know where the yard is, I'll just drive up with my trusty screwdriver.. Thanks -
Hello, I just about managed finishing my AI606 install today. After annoying the neighbours while testing it, it all works fine. The unit can take a dual zone sensor which then gives it a proximetry radius protection. Does anyone know if this will work with the alarm? :D The unit has a 4 pin socket for the sensor. Thanks

Hello, everyone. as you probably know I bought a Gal about a week back & I have been tidying it up a little. In amongst my list, I need both front sun visor flaps. What I need to know is, am I right in thinking the VW and Seat ones are the same fitment as the Ford ones? I have been lurking around a few scrappies and haven't managed to find any. I've only had the Galaxy a week and I really like it. I don't know why, but there's just something about it.

Can I Fit A Double Din Unit Into A Mk1?
maglite replied to a topic in I.C.E (In Car Entertainment) Discussion
Hello, yes I was gonna ask the same question about fitting in a double din unit. But I was thinking more on the lines of 2 units (Screen + DVD). And I was also about to purchase from TG Online. Has anyone seen their feedback? Some of it seems dodgy.. Anyway, I'm still searching around like mad for a quad headlight conversion. I won't be able to sleep untill I find one for abt -
Blanking Pates For Rear Seat Holes?
maglite replied to mutley's topic in Questions about the Ford Galaxy
Hello! I might be able to help you out with the blanking plates. I just actually bought some from someone selling them on Ebay. You could email them to see if they have any more. The ones I bought are the light coloured ones, although I know you can get dark grey ones as well. Check them out here I hope this helps... Respect going out to all the Rover workers.. -
Hello all, as you probably know, I have just bought a Gal and I'm going to be getting in Tinted on Tuesday. I know of 2 companies who can do tinting at a good prices. The 1st is a company called Turbo Screens Unit 6, St. Pauls Rd, Birmingham, West Midlands B12 8NG 0121 446 5066 This is what I was quoted. Front 2 windows & the small triangular one (not legal) 35% after post B (behind the front seats) Limo black 5% Total:

Where Can I Get A Bull Bar Like This From?
maglite replied to maglite's topic in Customising your Ford Galaxy
Ok, ok, I'll give the bull bar a miss, but I really do want to get the quad headlight conversion. I'll have to pray that someone on ebay has it on a no reserve.. -

Hello all, I finally purchased a Galaxy 2.0 GLX. It's not a Ghia as I was hoping to get but it has A/C and it is an auto. I checked the History and everything seems to be in order. What I did notice is that the Air bag light stays on. Is this a common problem or a serious one? Does anyone know what it might be? I'm gonna be kitting the car out with some electronics. What's the alternator like on the Gals? I will be gettin a limo black tint behind the front 2 windows. I will post some pics. Im going to fit a H4 8000K HID kit in tonight, hopefully that will make a bit of a difference. The other thing I was wondering about is if the 2.0 models have a cam belt because the seller told me it was a chain.. hmm.. Thanks B)

Looking At Buying A Galaxy 2.0 Ghia
maglite replied to maglite's topic in Questions about the Ford Galaxy
Yes you can fit HID xenons without cutting wires or modifying any mechanisms. There are many retro kits available on the market which fit into the most common fitments. IE: H4's H7's etc.. A complete video explaination & report about HID kits can be found here (Plays in Windows media player - report comes after the intro) So lets say you have a mk1 Galaxy and you would like to fit proper HID xenon lights. All you would need to do is purchase a H4 HID kit and fit it in. There is a box about half the size of a video tape which is called a "Ballast". Once you have found a place for this to be neatly hidden, then you are all set. Wire it up and thats it! Be warned though because these retro kits are for off road use ;) Thats because the standard reflectors are not designed for HID bulbs. Some people choose to ignore this fact and simply adjust the beam to a lower position so not to blind on-coming traffic. But once you have driven a car with HID headlights, you wouldn't want to go back to halogen. Seriously it's like comparing dial up with broadband. Hope this helps. -
Looking At Buying A Galaxy 2.0 Ghia
maglite replied to maglite's topic in Questions about the Ford Galaxy
Yep it looks like those quad conversions are like gold dust. But I have to admit, it does make the Galaxy look kind of sporty and more unique. I guess I'll have to keep hunting. But as soon as I do find a Galaxy that tickles my fancy I will definately be adding the quad conversion with some 8000K Hid's.. Oh and if any of you are coppers, The HID's will be used strictly off public roads  -
Looking At Buying A Galaxy 2.0 Ghia
maglite replied to maglite's topic in Questions about the Ford Galaxy
That's good to know Mike, but I actually sell HID kits myself. Don't worry I won't step on your toes in this forum.. But the headlights I'm after are these ones: http://www.body-kit.co.uk/acatalog/galaxy.jpg Does anyone know where I could get these cheaper than -
Looking At Buying A Galaxy 2.0 Ghia
maglite replied to maglite's topic in Questions about the Ford Galaxy
Wow, 3 responses within a few hours. Thanks guys, the information you provided is very helpful. I'm now thinking about going for a diesel. I actually have a 406 Diesel which has never given me any major problems. I was looking at the Ghia model of the Galaxy because of the air/con. I have also been thinking about the quad headlight conversion kit, but the only one I can find on the net is a morret one, and it's like -
Hello all, I was quite surprised to find this forum. But I'm glad I did. I'm after buying a used Galaxy and I have seen 2 that have cought my eye. The thing is that because I've never had one before what would be the major things I need to check before buying. (I am not advertising any company, I just would like some plain and simple advice) The 1st one I have seen is this here It's on the stock list and it's the 4th one down. The other one is here: here The second one seems to be better as it has service history with it. Also what is the 2.0 like on fuel economy? The rear seats will be removed and the Galaxy is going to be used as a van (kind of) for my IT work. I hope those links still work when any of you guys looks at them. Thanks in advance.
