A good web site for caravanners is touring and tenting.com. Very friendly lot with plenty of good information and tips. They also have a lot of rallies throughout the year. I'm on there a lot so if your interested have a look. I hope its alright to promote this web site on here if not sorry

I have been towing since 2000 when i got my first caravan, a Elddis wisp and then a Avondale Dart 510 and now I'm on my third caravan a sterling Europa 495. All i can say is that the Galaxy has always towed well and i would buy another one when I change from this Galaxy

Please help has anyone had this problem that I am just experiencing. Which is after returning on a long journey with my caravan in tow, I started to experience a rumbling noise between 50-60 mph, which disappears when you come off of the accelerator pedal and then when re-accelerating the noise returns again. I do not know if something has broken and this is causing the exhaust to make contact and send a vibration under the floor pan or maybe the engine mount has broken or whether or not it is something else. It still makes this noise without the caravan on the back. So does anyone know or have any ideas please. Thanks.

Sounds like the same problem as mine, coming home the car cut out.Turned the key and it would start and run,but as soon as you pulled away it would cut out and the glow plug light would flash. It went to Fords and it was all down to a corroded wirer.....cost

When driving home today i turned the radio volume down and could hear feed back in the o/s rear speakers.Think there maybe a bad earth or broken wire anyone had this in ther galaxy

I have the tdi 110,but have had it chipped because it lacked power on the m/way on the long climbs and overtaking. But other than this it`s a great tow car with plenty of room and good kerb weight.I tow a Avondale dart 1200KG,i would recommond having the chip fitted as it makes a lot of differance

when driving home to day i flicked through the radio tuning to find a channel to listen to.But as i did this the radio asked for the code, you gessed it i dont have the code so what can i do.I dont even know if a code was entered by the former owner,do i need to contact fords or does anyone know away round this
-
Yes, had it done, and it does make a lot of differance solo.Have not tryed it with the van on the back but will soon.Pulling away 1st gear is the same,2nd gear more power,3rd gear more power and so on.But the best thing is when on the m/way 5th gear, no slow over-taking or droping down to 4th gear.I did have second thougths but having had RS turbos and cosworths in the past that had been chipped i went ahead.Never had any problems with them so hey, cheaper than selling my car for silly money, and paying top wack for newer shape car
