No its a common problem and you should see your ford dealer. check out the smax owners web site as this fault has been on there alot

A good place to find the answers to your questions is the smax owners club as they are very much like the galaxy hope this helps. As yet i have had no problems with my Galaxy...fingers x

Thanks for the reply RADIOTWO, why do you say possibly, someone must have had a towbar fittd to their Mk3 galaxy, does anyone know for sure whether it has to go to a main dealer or not, for software mods have pm you

I have both the thule options, 4 bike rack on the tow bar plus 3 thule bars on the roof. depending on where we are going or if the caravans on the back i can choose either but the roof ones need steps to reach up there

hi stu, dont worry i have all that on the back of mine. Fix tow bar,bumper plate and bike rack and twin electrics and have no problens with sensors if you want a pic let me know....stuart

Hi, i have leather seats in mine and don't seem to have a problem with them being uncomfortable and i have just returned form a 1900 round trip of France. Did you not test the car to see if you like the seat before you purchased it or was this not possible

Hi all, have had my mk3 galaxy for a few months now but had a problem with the CD player today. I had 4 Cd's in it and went to put another CD in and it took it and it played. I then went to put a 6th CD in and it wouldn't take it. Now it will only play the last one i put in and wont play the others, also i cant get them out. I took it to the dealers today and they had a look and said it would have to be sent away but it could take a while for it to come back. It might also have no Cd's as these might get broken. what to do

No, We are able to get help from the caravan club, they have a big book of words to use on no- caravaning folk like yourself, comes from years of experience :lol: :rolleyes:

Or you can pack your bags and go to a airport and pay to park there, then line up to get on a ferry bus, be driven to the airport to be dumped at the door, then fight for a trolley with a wonky wheel. Then stand in an other line to get rid of your bags and hope you get a good seat on the plane and hope it goes on time. Then spend a few pounds in duty-free then go to get your bags if they ave turned up. Out the airport to get on the coach to the hotel with the driver from hell for 2 hours or so. then to a room that you hate with beds that every tom ,dick and Harry has slept in and more. Hi, I am looking for the mk111 Galaxy and also found that there was a differance in the braked tow weight between the 1.8 and the 2.0 and all other weights where the same so your post has help me. I have found a 2.0 tdci with a tow bar and if i get the chance i am going to try a tow test, dont know if the dealer(ford) will let me but when your spending so much money a cant see why not I have just done a check on the whattowcar site with my caravan ,sterling europa 495 with the 1.8 and it came out as RED 49 kg over weight and when i done the 2.0 it came out as a perfect match so yes maybe your 1.8 is not up for the job
