  1. model / age ??? had a replacement autobox from ford/vw (was a brand new one under warranty) at 23k because of these symptons now done 149k its a 2003 mk2 and its covered 110k
  2. we have a 1.9 tdi 5 speed automatic, for about 4 mths or so gear changing seem rather jerky& erratic, i,ve tried changing the atf but has made little if no difference to the problem, any ideas anyone, tia ?

  4. driving home from wales the car stopped pulling away as usual and would struggle to reach above 60mph, there are no lights illuminating on the dashboard to show a fault, i can hear the turbo when revving at standstill, it,s a 2003 tdi, tia ?
  5. have tried your suggestions & made sure it,s in manual mode before i turn it off, it still turns itself on in manual mode if left overnight or for a good few hrs :(

  7. JUST WANDERING IF ANYONE KNOWS THE RECOMMENDED MILEAGE FOR A CAM BELT CHANGE ON THIS MODEL, IT HAD ONE CHANGED AT 40K AND ITS NOW ON 96K

  9. i have a mk2 tdi & need to remove the steering wheel to change the clock spring, any ideas where i can get the special tool required to fit the centre bolt from , ford do not sell tools at all
  10. yes there is a radio control stalk, i,ve taken the fuse out for the horn for now as it,s getting quite a nuisance
  11. it.s just a short beep usually, over the past couple of days the radio has changed channels on it,s own so i,m not sure if this is related to the same problem, i had a quote for a clock spring from ford parts uk for
  12. has anybody experienced or know what this fault may be caused by ? you are driving along & the horn just sounds on its own at random times, its not very often but it can be a little irritating & embarrasing when it does so, it,s a 1.9 tdi 2003 model, thanks in advance
