It might be that the hole where the water comes out is clogged up. Try cleaning by poking it with a thin strand of wire. -
Cheers Blatters. I,ve read a lot about Mafs on this forum and I,ve found out that the part number for my Galaxy is Bosch part number : 0 280 217 121 :. That is the part number listed on Ebay and it is exactly the same as mine off my Galaxy

Hi Everyone, I have poor acceleration on my 1999 1.9 TDI Galaxy . I've read alot about the possability that it is probably the Maf sensor. I purchased this one from Ebay. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...me=STRK:MEWN:IT Please look at the description on Ebay. It looked OK to me. I changed the Maf yesterday and took it for a drive around the block. There was no acceleration for the first for the first 300 yds. Then the acceleration kicked in but was no better than my old MAf. I left the "new" Maf on, but every time I start up it does the same, the acceleration is dead for the first 300 yards and then kicks in. So the "new" Maf is worse than the one I took off. Do you think I've been conned and sold a duff Maff, or do you think it is OK and I have a different problem. Cheers

Hi Everyone, Great forum and source of information. I,ve read loads of interesting topic's and it's reassuring that there's other people in the same @hit as me :o :o . My Galaxy has started to take an age to get warm inside the cab. I was starting to think it was the Thermostat and I suppose it still could be. Today I drove about half a mile to my In-laws, the engine was cold, parked up and thought the Galaxy was on fire at the rear end. First of all I thought the Mother - in - law was trying to torch the car but there was no sign of her. Upon closer inspection I noticed it was coming from the small exhaust under the rear drivers door. Lots of smelly white smoke. There was also a whirring noise coming from under the car. I drove back home and got straight on my laptop to look at this great forum. I only tapped into the biggest ever thread on one subject the world has ever seen. I had never heard of the booster heater before, ( I think I must be the only one judging by the amount of hits ). So if I understand it right, because my booster heater is now whirring and blowing out white smoke, it is working alright but may need cleaning out, or did the number of posts I read scramble my brain and it means the opposite, and it is knackered and I need to change the glow plug. :o :o Do you think the slow heating time and the Booster heater problem are connected. Sorry for the long post, Cheers Guys and Gals

Wierd Central Locking Fault
Philwalfc replied to Philwalfc's topic in Ford Galaxy Technical Section MK I MK II
I've noticed today that there is a intermittent fault on the front N/S passenger door as well. That door fails to unlock, but that happens very rarely, probably once in twenty goes. There are no other fault that I can see though. -
Great news, I Got a gadget from a local car stereo supplier. The part number is PC5-52. The bloke gave me the booster, two stereo removal keys, a connection converter and also fitted the device, all for a grand total of

Hi, I've got a Ford Galaxy 1.9 TD Zetec. It is a 1999 V Reg.I've had it for two years. It has got a Kenwood KDC MV6521 CD/Radio/MP3 Player fitted. It was already installed when I purchased the car. The problem I have is, the radio recieves all stations when in FM mode, but when I try MW or LW there is hardly any reception when stationary, even less with engine started. I have diconnected the fitted ariel in the rear quarter passenger window to see if that makes a difference, but it has no effect. I can't see another ariel fitted to the car. Has anyone got any ideas please. Thanks Phil

Hi, I,ve run into a problem with my Galaxy 1.9 TD. It is a 1999 V reg. The alarm that is fitted is a Laserline 291 Cat 1. When I press my remote control, it locks all my doors, but it will then continue to re-open the N/S rear door, lock it once again and then finally re-open it, leaving it in the unlocked position.Has anyone got any suggestions as to what is causing this problem. I have had the car for two years and it has only just started to happen. The alarm was fitted before I purchased the car, but it was done by a professional as I have the receipts. Thank in advance for taking the time to read this posting Phil
