  1. Do you mean like this? :P
  2. It just seemed logical that the rear control would control all the rear seats (middle and back) and the front controls would do the front. But then what do I know. They probably had 30 designers in meetings for hours to decide these things  Howard
  3. Very odd. This seems to have stumped everyone :( So when the noise occurs, and you then stop, (i.e traffic lights) will it happen again as you drive off or does it only happen once when you first drive the car? Could be driveshaft or CV joint related? It's not one I've heard of before. Any suggestions guys? Howard
  4. Strangely though, I've just noticed, the airflow is controlled by the front airvent controls on the panel not the rear :( Howard
  5. Yep, you should definately have air coming out. I've just been out and checked mine and there is a reasonably strong breeze coming from it. Howard
  6. Hmmmm.... An aircon specialist who can't fix aircon and then recommends a Ford Dealer.....sounds a bit of a cowboy to me. This means you've paid
  7. MAF cleaning doesn't really work. It should be replaced. GSF seems to be the best place to order one to fit yourself. Easy to do and works out a lot cheaper than a dealer fit. Howard
  8. Sounds like the MAF sensor. Do a search on maf. (include the . or the search engine will throw up an error) and you will find loads of info. Howard
  9. Down to my local chippie it is then, to purchase their used oil :( :( howard
  10. Forget Ford dealers, they don't know diddly about aircon. They will replace stuff on a trial and error basis and charge you for their incompetance. Go to a recommended specialist they have the kit and the know how and will save you a fortune. Howard
  11. Bummer :( Howard
  12. If you have a DVD Writer (if not they're only about
  13. I had exactly those symptoms with my dual aircon. Air cooled but not cold and fan running a lot faster than before. It was a leak in the condensor where the filter screws in. The aircon people who did mine said this was an extremely common fault with these and he had done loads, in fact he had done one the same, the day before doing mine. Cost me
  14. Was mucking about with Tomtom last night and found a place called "Lickey End" wouldn't fancy living there and trying to order stuff mail order :o :D Howard
  15. Have you tried holding the receiver outside the car to see if you get a better signal, to make sure it is the car causing the problem? Are you under trees when you are installing the receiver as this can kill a signal? Also when you first install a receiver, it can take a long time to pick up a signal (it's not uncommon for it to take 20 minutes on the very first use of a receiver). It took 7-8 minutes for my Tomtom wired version and 15 minutes for my compact flash version. Howard
  16. Could be the drive shaft has snapped. This is a common problem on Galaxy compressors. Howard
  17. Your dealer is talking cr@p. the light should not come on after the pads are done. He either hasn't done them or the pads are faulty somehow. Howard
  18. I've often wondered that. Seen them on loads of cars and never known what they are for. Howard
  19. Yes, Tomtom does and I believe most others do. You would be amazed how useful they are and how relaxed you can be about making a journey to somewhere you don't know. Howard
  20. Blimey, I think I'm quite lucky. My small local Ford Dealers use the right oil, never bend my sills, definately remove the sump plug to drain oil, definately remove the wheels (without damaging the centre caps), know what I'm talking about when I mention MAF's, droplinks etc, are very friendly and listen to what I say. All that for
  21. Any trolley dollies? ;) Howard
  22. Running Tomtom on a PDA with a compact flash receiver and have no problems with reception anywhere on the screen. There is no change in reception when I bring the PDA outside the car. so you should be fine. Howard
  23. If they say it has, ask for that in writing so if it hasn't and the belt snaps, taking your engine with it, you can claim from the garage. They won't have a problem with that if they have really done the belt change. Howard
  24. It wasn't until I bought a diesel  Oil level? Wots that? I had a mate who had an oil leak and his philosophy was, as long as there's some coming out, then there some in there. He couldn't understand why his engine overheated and seized. Howard
  25. 2.8 Owners-Stupid question for you What's that shlurping sound from the back......oh wait...... it's another tank of fuel gone   Howard
