I'm not knocking ford dealers, but i have a fault on my galaxy and to run a test they wanted

The diagnostic socket on a galaxy 2.0 is under the centre ashtray. Just open the ashtray flap and take out the ashtray with a wiggle and it's a small oblong socket with about 7 pins in it. It's about the same size as the computer screen connection on the back of your computer.

Hi Brian I had the same fault on my o/s/r door. We found that ford's had been tight on there wiring loom and as the door was opened and closed over and over again it broke the wires inside the loom.If you pull the rubber tube down you will proberly see the outer case of the wires cracked through. If you need things go to vw centres first and tell them it's for a sharan. I bought a rear window mechanism complete as a piece of plastic broke on my one. ford price
