  1. I've just e-mailed mp3playerstore.com and they confirm that the FD-5 can play my copies, so it looks as though the end of 'I spy' is in sight.
  2. I use the high level one from Argos. It's great for 3 bikes and doesn't need any additional lighting
  3. I've been getting an error warning recently where the display shows "ENGINE WORKSHOP" and at the same time the glowplug symbol flashes. There is no loss of power and everything seems to run normally. any ideas on what it could be??
  4. My post fitted DVD player ( a Coleman F04 ??)finally gave up the ghost today :D B) :D B) and I am looking to replace it. The Innovatek FD-5 from MP3playerstore looks a reasonable replacement but I'm woried about what it can play. Has anyone else had a problem with the Innovatek FD5 playing DVD-Rs or DVD+Rs. I rarely leave originals in the car. BTW Metalmickey, what model did you buy in the end and how much did it cost. Also, how would I connect the FM modulator up - The audio outputs fron the Innovatek would be connected to the LCD screen using the RCA cable. how would the signal get to the modulator - I see only an input for audio. Does that mean I need a splitter? :) Cheers Corskey
  5. My aircon went about 3 times on the last galaxy that I had (new model) The lease company paid for the repairs (compressors, condensors and evaporators). Just bought a 2001 galaxy, and guess what - aircon (cindensor) knackerd, with a
  6. I got the high level one from Argos - it's one of the cheapest around and workd well
  7. Car is now 3 years and 3 months old   As for the flashing - it wasn't there when the ford dealer gave the aircon a check yesterday - I assume that the coolant has been emptied or the condensor (not the compressor as I said earlier) has been disconected?????
  8. I had a company car galaxy (new model) and only ever had problems with the aircon, leading to a replacement compressor being fitted, not too bad as the company paid for it. Just bought a 2001 replacement and guess what - the aircon has gone again. Again a new compressor is required at
  9. I've had an afternarket DVD player fitted (by the previous owner) with an FM modulator and like these poor peeps above I get no AM or MW. There is a factory fitted sat-nav and looked to find out how the unit is removed, but it isn't too clear - any pointers please. Can the powered aerial adapter be fitted to the sat-nav head unit. BTW - any web links to the powered aerial adapter.
  10. The whole thing just chips off - you can see it on the photo, it's really awful, the only consolation is that it happens on Audis, VWs and Seats as well. BTW a good option could be to buy a replacement from the Skoda Octavia (only a textured hard plastic) and replace the grotty Ford ones with this one. I might give it a go now that I know it's an easy job.
  11. think that this is probably what's wrong with the beast. Oh BTW had it out all today, for a while (most of the afternoon) the engine noise was almost unbearable, but when driving home this evening the noise was almost gone. Corskey
  12. Help, my TDI has just developed a horrible deep throaty noise. It only occurs at lower revs, and probably dissapears once I go above 1800 rpm. When changing gears it almost sounds as though there is a backfire or a misfire. The exhaust is sound, and the noise occurs when stationary, not in gear and without the clutch depressed (though I am). Any ideas - can it be a misfire with it being a tdi - I don't even know if a tdi has spark plugs . Could it be a turbo fault as the noise dissapears at 1800 revs (can the turbo jam open). any pointers would be useful cheers corskey
