Hi Catherine Welcome to the forum. You will find lots of helpful advice on here some you take with a pinch of salt though. Most have a good sence of humor and are quite friendly!! All the best Mary :)
Hi When I did mine the springs were in bits when I went inside so got new ones to fit. Whats the problem as I found it all pretty straight forward? Mary
Hello again Know the feeling I was shut out to  Can you believe it? The two most popular members having that problem :D Welcome back. By the way I never did get that issue sorted out last year got a new one instead. More money!! Mary
Hi everyone Hope you can help I have done a search but maybe I have missed it! Can anyone shed light on the location of the fuel temp sensor on a 1998 Sharan 1.9 TDI? Thanks in advance Mary
PLEASE REMEMBER THIS... removing the bearings is NOT a permanent soloution.Depending on how you drive and how much you drive the shaft WILL EVNTUALLY WEAR DOWN THE CASING THAT THE SELECTOR SITS IN as the roller bearing has been removed. If you intend to keep the car for any lenght of time it will have to be replaced. Sorry I didnt make my post clear. The bearings are still in place they had to be freed off and packed with grease. Mary
Not really a lot you can do apart from keeping an eye to make sure they dont eat the wiring. Set a trap over night in beside wiper linkage perhaps. My last car a peugeot 306 had them on board......guess why I got rid of it? Good luck in getting shot of them. Mary :angry2:
Hi......... That is exactly what went wrong with my gears. But since it was taken apart greased up etc its been perfect......that was over a year ago now Mary :angry2:
247 spares are quick and you should recieve loads of quotes to compare. TPS (Trade Parts Specialists) there is probably one near you does genuine VW, Seat, Audi, BMW parts and they are cheap. Mary
sounds more like a bottom ball joint or track rod end or anti roll bar links. If you have a droaning noise then yes the wheel bearing is kaput they can do that for ages before they go slack. Check em out Hope this helps Mary :D
Well, well what a turn up for the books...... I love caravaning its very relaxing and my 98 Sharan doesnt have a problem at all even up hills. Sure you will love it. Mary
