  1. Brilliant  I've got your info and the aux heater thread in the FAQ section to refer to. I'm feeling much more confident about it now. Let's just hope that it is the glowplug that's gone, and nothing else! I'll let you know how it goes tomorrow. Cheers.............
  2. Cheers, stevie m, that's a weight off my mind. Can't wait to lie on the floor in the freezing cold tomorrow  Did it take very long to fix? Was it straight forward?
  3. My new glowplug arrived this morning so I'll be replacing it tomorrow probably. For those who want to know it was on ebay ( http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...A:IT&ih=017 ) and cost me
  4. What does it look like? Big, small, square, round, black, white?
  5. Thanks for that mumof4. Took the cover off the wipers and found nowt  Could it be somewhere else on my model?
  6. I read this thread with interest cos, you guessed it, aux heater not kicking in! So, question no1 - if there is a fuse, is it with the other fuses next to the steering wheel, and if so, what number is it? Question no 2 - what does the temp sensor look like? (will take off the plastic wiper cover thingy later and bridge the connections to see if it will fire up) Question no 3 - is VAG COM a fault reader thingy? Do I need to have one if I decide to replace the glow plug in order to reset the fault? Cheers fellas. This forum's ace. Already used it when replacing my front brakes for the first time and also when replacing a track rod end. Saved me a fortune by giving me the confidence to do it myself. Hoping I can sort this aux heater out myself too! BTW the car's a 2002 Seat Alhambra 1.9 TDI SE.
