Guest wolfie Posted May 4, 2007 Report Posted May 4, 2007 Ok here goes.... after several phone calls over the last couple of days, the shop where I'm getting my new suspension set up from finally got back to me with an answer on where it is? that is after I walked up to the counter and asked them again! only to be told that the UK stockists dont have any and they are now on order from the factory in Germany, be here Wednesday next week  not to happy with that as the plan was to install the kit this week end as the promised day of arrival was either yesterday or today! this means that the garage will have to fit it now, as I wont have the time  any how my rant http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/images/smilies/rant.gif ..... rang another stockist just see if they could get them any quicker or if they had a set in stock? only have them pick up the phone and put it down on me twice at 3.30 this afternoon http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/images/smilies/wtf.gif then they let the phone ring till it cancelled the call, then they stuck on their answering machine that gives you a nice recorded message about how the office is now closed, and please ring back between the opening hours of 9.00 till 6.00 http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/images/smilies/wtf.gif IT'S HALF PAST THREE http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/images/smilies/w4nker.gifpick up the phone as I'm looking at possible spending Quote

Ronnie W. Posted May 4, 2007 Report Posted May 4, 2007 Ok here is my oneWe hired a mini-bus to take my teenage daughter and her mates to a concert in Glasgow (220miles from home)We went to a local branch of Arnold Clark and paid when booking as this was the only way to reserve the bus ,this was 4 months ago about 2 months later we got a call from AC to say that their insurance company would not let them hire busses to private individuals company hires only very sorry we can give you 2 people carriers for same price they said, now I am full of tricks but driving two cars at once is not one of them so booking cancelled I them did an internet search and came up with an alternative company to hire one from and the best bit they delivered and collected the bus from your door great booked and paid the big day comes bus booked for 12 noon 5 minutes before the hour I phoned to ask about bus and was told the booking was for noon and the bus would be there the call lasted more than 5 minutes i said the bus is not here "give it a while"quater past and still no bus on the phone again "we are looking into it " 15 mins passed stil no bus so phoned again "we are still looking into it and we will phone you". 1.15 still no call so I phone again somewhat p****d off "sorry but the company we booked you bus from cant find the booking it will not be coming but we will refund your card today" How an I supposed to get a bus load of teenagers to Glasgow I asked "not our problem" the guy said but I booked the bus with you and now I have a lot of extra expense to cover "sorry can only give refund of hire"My Galaxy was in the garage getting the timing belt done I phoned them and they had not started it so I was able to get it back and my oldest son who had been working since 2 am offered to take a load in his car so we set off nearly two hours late and had to drive like madmen to get to Glasgow and just made it in time for the concert starting http://www.eliteselfdrive.com/p185071/15-SEAT-MINI-BUS.html this is the company involved so be aware Quote
Guest foxylady611 Posted May 26, 2007 Report Posted May 26, 2007 Well, i need to get this off my mind before i murder the stupid git was changing oil on gal today, had emptied it all out and was just adding the new oil when baby started crying. dearest hubby comes out of house with said child who is bright red and screaming his head off and deposits him on my shoulder saying 'think its shit' then disappeared back into house. put oil down on the driveway....(was nearly full anyway) and took poor neglected child into house.as i was there changing the nappy, heard car drive off. dearest man returns with the news that he thinks it has an oil leak...... i lifted the bonnet and yes it has an oil leak, he hadn't put the bloody filler cap back on it was still sat on top on the now oil soaked engine!!!!!! i just need to point out i didnt say i'd finished, i left the bonnet up with the intention of finishing the job after changing the nappy............ but yet again its my fault!!!! arrrrrggggghhhhh!!!!!! i'm starting to think going back to work won't be so bad after all!!! thanks for listening/reading i feel so much better now foxy xx  Quote

mumof4 Posted July 11, 2008 Report Posted July 11, 2008 I am sick to the back teeth of govenment agencies. Why is it, one tells you under the poverty line, and one says above it.Why is it that everything they give you like ctc, cb, are classed as income? why is it that a maintenance paid to you for your kids is classed as income? why is it that today i find out that no, i still do not qualify for income support as the child ben i get , the child tax cred i get, the maintenance i get, is all classed as income and as such i live on 60 quid a month too much flaming money? that erven wioth me topping up my rent by 150 quid a month, i still do not qualify? worked it all out and i will have to live on just under 500 a month to feed, and clothe my kids, christmas and birthdays. It sucks, it really flamin does. The way its going im going to have to change my kids school, just when they are settled there, which means more disruption for them, and how it will affect my 6 yr old, i have no idea. im flmin sick of being told oooo you have enough to live on.... life sucks, it really flaming does and i wonder why the hell i bother. Quote
NikpV Posted July 16, 2008 Report Posted July 16, 2008 afaik CTC and CB are not assessed against income support so only maintenance should be offset against IS and the rules are changing about that at the moment and will change again in october Quote
