Daveyboy Posted December 6, 2004 Report Posted December 6, 2004 Hi Andy,Focus, good choice :) No real faults with the current auto models. Earlier 1.6 Auto's were plagued with leaks from the gearbox, but resolved from 2001 models onward.Infact, an LX 1.6 Auto would be my reccomended choice for her. :) Other than that, a 1.8 Auto, but that may be a bit too much grunt for pootling around town :) Have a look on Honest John for a good rundown on what's what.Cheers & good luck!Dave Quote
Dave-G Posted December 7, 2004 Report Posted December 7, 2004 ;) I'm sure there must be a very good reason for you to feel she should learn to drive an auto, rather than a manual? ;) Quote
Guest Andy Posted December 7, 2004 Report Posted December 7, 2004 she feels more confident with an auto the gears get her flustered.i dont care really, she can then use the car for the school run.in the last 3 yeasr my galaxy has done 9500 miles what a waste, and christ buses cost the earth. :( :( :( Quote
