Do you want the good news or the bad news?

OK, good first: I received a Haynes manual yesterday.

Bad news: The problem we've seen most on the forum - reprogramming the remote locking key (3 ways described in old forum, & none of them worked for me) - is not mentioned. So it's off to Ford. Now where is that Galaxy Forum Card... ~ Scott

PS. The manual does NOT cover the 2.8 litre petrol engine or the 4x4 models, or the revised model range introduced August 2000.

Thanks chaps for the information,

I've just hopped on the Haynes site and ordered my book as well. As I see it, any information on how to perform tasks on the galaxy is a help, no matter where the information comes from :D

Not really there are too many differences between the Mk1 and Mk2, the recommendation of a TIS disc (have a look on fleabay!) is probably the best one.

I've owned both and it takes a bit of time working your way around the way you find things on it but once you are used to it it's far better.

The other comment would be use the frequently asked section on here or do a search as almost everthing has been on here before!

TIS 2004 is for the entire Ford Range, it is available for free on torrent sites, all you need is a burner or a virtual cd drive (recommended).

The ones on fleabay are the same as the torrent.
