Hi!

I am just in the final stage of buying a galaxy. It's got to go for a service and MOT as part of purchase deal. It's a 53 plate galaxy Ghia 1.9 TDi... It has relatively few miles for age but has never had cam belt changed.. It's done 67,000 miles. Should it be done as part of service ? (Has had ford dealership services up to this point as was demo car then had 1 owner)

Thanks in advance

OK, so after reading a few posts it seems to be 40\60k, so needs changing.

Now how do I convince the garage? Any official guide available?

I followed links to a ford etis page but couldn't find info on cambelt changes

Can someone help please?

Go to Ford Etis.

Click on vehicle lookup

Put in your reg number

Under where it says vehicle summary click on  Generate a Ford service Schedule then continue

Then either click print or preview

Cambelt is near the bottom of list
