benny-z Posted April 9, 2015 Report Posted April 9, 2015 HelloThis is a 2002 Ford galaxy MK II. The heater control panel and some other things have stopped working. The Ac button, rear heater main switch, air re circulate switch, blow direction and temperature control buttons or knobs do not work. Only the fan speed control works.Even the clock stopped working, as ESP indicate faulty with error code: 00778 for (steering angle sensor), the reader says" No Power to ESP ... ". The lights on the panel do not work either.I've checked all the fuses, tailgate cables, the " reset tips", cleaned the connections behind the control panel , etc etc nothing works. Hope someone can help me to solve this issue now it seems to be a common problem.CheerZ Quote
BrianH Posted April 9, 2015 Report Posted April 9, 2015 How about the connection to the fusebox from the alternator? common failure on mk2s and I'm sure i've seen previous reports of the dash lights failing when it starts acting up. Quote
benny-z Posted April 24, 2015 Author Report Posted April 24, 2015 Thx for the reply, All fuses are ok in the fusebox inside and even checked for 12v, and i have 12v through all fuses in alternator fusebox. is there any relay that might be malfunctioning? rgds /BZ Quote
chrispb123456 Posted April 24, 2015 Report Posted April 24, 2015 Have you checked for 12 volts at the clock to confirm a supply fault? Quote
niall1001 Posted May 15, 2015 Report Posted May 15, 2015 I would recheck the aux fuse box in the engine bay, these are common as the terminals are a poor quality on how they crimp, they can cause weird issues on the electrical system, check for any signs of the terminals getting really hot, especially the main feed ones and if they get too hot they will melt the fuse box itself!
