ibwaheemi Posted May 17, 2014 Report Posted May 17, 2014 my ford galaxy mk2 1.9 TDI starts well from cold first turn although i have to hold the key for about 1.5 seconds. the problem is restarting, once the car is warm the engine will not start at all i have to wait a minute or two. sometimes when it restarts the accelerator does not rev the engine at all other times it will rev in neatral but as i pull away in first gear the car will stall after about 100 meters if i leave the car for an hour or so then it start beautifully first time. the car did have an injector problem (black smoke) a year ago i replaced two injectors and the car was running perfectly without this problem, the car engine was stripped and put back together with new piston rings head gasket cam belt etc. really hope you can help i have never seen this problem before Quote
chrispb123456 Posted May 17, 2014 Report Posted May 17, 2014 Are there any other symptoms like glow plug light flashing or the LED light on the door flashing while trying to start. You will probably have fault codes stored as a result of not starting which will help diagnose. Quote
