Bill Button Posted March 29, 2014 Report Posted March 29, 2014 Hi looking round for a replacement galaxy as my old one had finally gone uneconomical for repair, Tested a 52 plate ghia only thing I could find wrong with it is the cruse control is not working, garage has knocked 500 quid off the asking price I was wondering if there and any known faults with the cruse control which could be a DIY repair. chrispb123456 Posted March 29, 2014 Report Posted March 29, 2014 Is your new one also a TDI and manual, if so check the pedal switches, VCDS/Vagcom lead check for codes and correct function of switches. Quote
chromedome Posted March 29, 2014 Report Posted March 29, 2014 If it's a petrol the cruise control is done by a vacuum system not electronic. It is normally split vacuum hoses that causes the system to fail. Quote
