Car cut out.Tried re-starting with just cranking but not firing.Cambelt not turning. What is the best way forward with this? Edited February 20, 2014 by junky Quote
junky Posted February 21, 2014 Author Report Posted February 21, 2014 Interference or non-interference??? Quote
chrispb123456 Posted February 21, 2014 Report Posted February 21, 2014 If it's cambelt or tensioner failure then you will certainly have damage to valve train and possibly piston damage. Cylinder head will need removing to inspect damage. How much mileage done since last belt change? Quote
junky Posted February 21, 2014 Author Report Posted February 21, 2014 On 100k currently, belt last changed at 60k. Is removing cyclinder head a quick and easy job? Thankyou for your help Quote
junky Posted February 21, 2014 Author Report Posted February 21, 2014 Sorry, maybe I am mistaken, cylinder head is different to the rocker cover which would be 5 mins to remove if I am correct. Quote
