chrispb123456 Posted March 7, 2014 Report Posted March 7, 2014 Because it's the wife's Motability car I don't think I would have any say about the tyres other than replacing them when worn or punctured but will be asking the question as the car is due for replacement at the end of this year, I'm sure I have read that the car needs to be returned unmodified at the end of the lease.I know kwik fit don't like you using the gung to repair a puncture as they have to clean it all off the rim and did you know that if you use the gung to repair a puncture that it's only a temporary repair and kwik fit wont repair a puncture in these tyres.I have heard there's going to be a new model MPV early next year but am seriously looking at the Sharan as I like the idea of the sliding doors at the rear but will look more in depth later this year. Scorpiorefugee Posted March 7, 2014 Report Posted March 7, 2014 I tried to find a Sharan but there didn't seem to be any for sale. That could be because they are too good to let go or just not seen to be as good as the Galaxy so nobody is buying them new All probably down to the lunatic motoring press. I suspect the first as the predecessors were more VW than Ford. What was the new MPV that you mentioned? It does seem that manufacturers in general have gone away from the true 7 seater and it seems that the Espace is no more. Quote
gregers Posted March 7, 2014 Report Posted March 7, 2014 chris i know you have reasons for the mk3.and yes m8 i agree with what you are saying about the tyres with kwik fit etc, mind you they are on a good screw with mobility anyway,1 time we had to get a virtually new tyre repaired because of a screw,lo and behold they fitted a new tyre, the screw was in the middle of the tread.i said if that was a private car would they repair it,YEPP was the reply.with my missus she decided on a vw tiguan, and straight out the box the fuel economy is a hell of a lot better then her smax ever was,we reckon she is putting in half the amount she used to per week.although the deposit made a dent in my wallet, its just a dream to drive.well apart from the auto parking mode that makes my bum cheeks clench every time i try it.
