martin hall Posted January 13, 2014 Report Posted January 13, 2014 A slightly damp newcomer asking for help, I have searched and found references to this issue but not much that explains or clarifies it to me. I have a 2010 Galaxy which has twice over the last 2 weeks had all 4 windows fully open when I have returned to it. This is after the car has been left with them closed and the car locked. This morning (second time) had obviously been overnight due to the vast moisture inside, but luckily it was not raining. My worry is that there could be an electrical fault causing this but I also wonder if this could be the global opening I have seen referred to. My question is what is the Global Opening function, how does it work and can it need resetting when this happens and if so how is this done? Thanks in advance Martin Quote
chrispb123456 Posted January 13, 2014 Report Posted January 13, 2014 It may be an electrical fault but consider this do you keep the keys in your pocket when out of the car.I can be outside working on another car leaning against it or laying underneath working then suddenly my central locking is going crazy where I'm inadvertently pressing on the buttons.Pressing and holding the unlock button will activate global opening. martin hall Posted January 13, 2014 Author Report Posted January 13, 2014 Yes, it definitely could be keeping the keys in my pocket. I had not known the global opening function until looking this morning. Thanks for the reply Quote
