Windows That Keep Coming Down.

Hi, i am just wondering can someone help me. When i lock my car doors the windows come down. Even if i don't lock the doors when the car is stopped the windows come down. If the windows don't open and stay closed, as soon as i unlock the doors the windows will come down.

Id guess door gaiter wiring us to blame by causing global opening feature to activate

Can often be traced to damaged wiring in the door gaiters, as bigdave says.

 

I'm expecting trouble with mine, it dropped both windows overnight whilst on holiday a month ago. About two inch of glass was peeping out on both front doors when I got up, the doors were still locked. Fortunately, we were in the middle of nowhere... unfortunately, it rained that night. :angry:

 

It's been okay since, but I guess it's only a matter of time.

Thanks Guys for your help. The windows came down today and the seat got wet. But I have it under cover now. Thanks again guys

Do you regularly use the fob to lock/unlock the car or do you use the key in the lock? if you use the key then you may need to check the paddles on the outer front door handle/s
