2.3 Mk1 Won't Start

Hi there I'm hoping someone can help, brought a mk1 2.3 ghia x a while ago and it's sat on the driveway for a couple of weeks, I've gone to start it up today and the battery was flat, I've then got the jump leads out and gone to start it but it was still dead and I've then noticed the fuel and water temp gauges were showing halfway, there is no ignition lights coming on or anything, I left the jump leads on for around half an hour but still nothing happened, does anyone have any ideas what could be wrong?

Take the battery off and charge it on a charger for 36 hours, make sure none of the smaller cables have broken off the battery terminals.
