Galaxy newbie Posted May 31, 2013 Report Posted May 31, 2013 As above guys, anyone have a diagram of where each water pipe connects to on the cooling system please it's urgent. Thanks. Andy Quote
Galaxy newbie Posted May 31, 2013 Author Report Posted May 31, 2013 If it helps there's a connection just below the diesel pump that attaches to the main water pipe (metal), its like a plastic joint with a metal clip to hold it in place. It looks like something should be inside it but mine is empty and leaking water when I try to top the coolant up. Any ideas what this is guys my Haynes is useless and I've got a pic on my phone but can't work out how to upload it. Thanks in advance. Andy Quote
Galaxy newbie Posted May 31, 2013 Author Report Posted May 31, 2013 Think I've sorted it, I think there should be a thermostat in there, would this be correct? Quote
BigDog Posted May 31, 2013 Report Posted May 31, 2013 Here's the parts diagram including AUY from ETKA. I'm not sure it's much use for you though. The thermostat is at the other end of the engine on the front basically in the side in the side of the water pump (which is driven off the cambelt). Can you post a photo? Good luck,Matt Quote
BigDog Posted May 31, 2013 Report Posted May 31, 2013 (edited) DOH! Forgot to add diagram and double DOH! I see you have a photo you mentioned already... sorry. You have to press the More Options button (below right of the text window when writing a post) to reveal the attachment controls. AUYANU cooling.pdf Edited May 31, 2013 by BigDog Quote
chrispb123456 Posted May 31, 2013 Report Posted May 31, 2013 (edited) Hi Andy Sensors are held in with clips, the thermostat is located in the bottom hose housing by the aircon pump. Once you saved pics to your computer you can attach them to your post. Edited May 31, 2013 by chrispb123456 Quote
Galaxy newbie Posted June 1, 2013 Author Report Posted June 1, 2013 Hi guys its this plastic knuckle type thing that is leaking water from the base, there's nothing inside it, so does it require a gasket or just sealing with a type of sealant to stop the leak. Thanks in advance. Andy Quote
seatkid Posted June 1, 2013 Report Posted June 1, 2013 The themostat is elsewhere - not here. You need to remove the part from the flange/ clean the alumininium face - fit a new O ring - no need for sealant see herehttp://www.auto-parts.spb.ru/cat/au/au.mycat?SelPg&t=kzaYZlo2mGYcNphm0WzwX6J3wUDAb3DCiC6YZqJpGFaTNpoZcxScapMA3n6TFpjsnmVR/DSXPEWDTJVT3Cw4Uvs2yfpNPrBA/GhJG2m433BEUQPyD3qNXaZmlWMTVtl_lCC6kFj6uzaLC8IGNihY4ba0tDfFA5SkjYR2BAeMtlfeUETGeJPWYULKrhSb2v9Gaxh87OOXubfbAKg= Quote
