If it helps there's a connection just below the diesel pump that attaches to the main water pipe (metal), its like a plastic joint with a metal clip to hold it in place. It looks like something should be inside it but mine is empty and leaking water when I try to top the coolant up. Any ideas what this is guys my Haynes is useless and I've got a pic on my phone but can't work out how to upload it. Thanks in advance. Andy

Here's the parts diagram including AUY from ETKA. I'm not sure it's much use for you though. The thermostat is at the other end of the engine on the front basically in the side in the side of the water pump (which is driven off the cambelt).

Can you post a photo?

Good luck,

Matt

Hi Andy

Sensors are held in with clips, the thermostat is located in the bottom hose housing by the aircon pump.

Once you saved pics to your computer you can attach them to your post.

Hi guys its this plastic knuckle type thing that is leaking water from the base, there's nothing inside it, so does it require a gasket or just sealing with a type of sealant to stop the leak. Thanks in advance. Andy
