Remote Key Fob

I have a vw sharran 2001 mkii the battery ran out in the remote fob, so I took out the battery and went to town to get a replacment. replaced battery and reassembled the led on the key now flashes when the lock or unlock buttons are pressed and the car starts and drives but no remote lock unlock

 

Do I need to reprogram the key?? If so does anyone know how to reprogrammed it ??

yep sounds like youve lost the programming to the car,look in the faqs on info on reprogramming.

my key fob has two batterys, seperated by a thin plate so looks like only one. check if yours has two as well?

hi.

i was looking help in getting my key fobs to work.

i have a 2010 galaxy and the two remotes stopped working.

the key is the flip type with three buttons.

i have changed the battarys and still the doors will not lock or open on remote.

the doors can be open by the key and the the car starts ok.

can anyone help please.
