Anyhow , had to get a car for work which had to be less than 5 years old.....kinda rules the Gal out. Pity though cos I just had it MOT'd all that was wrong was a rear brake and the front ABS ring whch had been glued on for 5 years eventually fell off and had to be replaced. Extreme Shame prevents me from telling you the make and model of my new motor ! Kev Quote

gregers Posted October 13, 2012 Report Posted October 13, 2012 (edited) well if you remember m8ty i went down the same route as you and bought a mk1 tdi zaffy and thought it was bomb proof,tbh i only got rid of it because it was to small for my needs at the time.then bought a mk2 gal and had a few probs with it,and ended up having 2 different mk2 zaffy's as hire cars for about a month.and preferred the mk1,mind you mine was a 2ltr tdi unlike the 1.6 petrol hire jobbies i had and thought they were utterly gutless.a m8 has got a mk2 and reckons its the best car hes had. and this was my 5k post, :( Edited October 13, 2012 by gregers Quote
