Vcds 11.11 And Aux Heater

Hi Folks

 

Has anyone had an issue clearing faults on an Aux Heater (Eber D5WZ-F) using VCDS 11.11. The Galaxy is a 2005.

 

I can communicate with the heater and retrieve the faults but when I try to erase the faults in the heater the VCDS says 'controller not responding'.

 

I had an intermittent brake light switch fault which cleared no problem.

 

Any thoughts/help appreciated.

The D5WZ-F was fitted for the last two years of the Mk2 unfortunately the controller on this heater is usually the cause of the problem, it usually records a fault on the fuel pump or the fan motor but it's the controller that's causing the issue.
