Fuel Pump

Hi don't know if anyone can help I havea mk2 1.9tdi galaxy all was good fuel pump has suddenly stopped working when I put key in I usually get hum noise from pump but now have nothing and won't start please help

If door LED is flashing Check relay 109 in third layer of fuse box.

Got to 3rd layer of fuse box and there is no relay with 109 on top of it ????

Some relays don't always appear with the number up the right way so 109 could look like 601.

Look carefully at the relays, all the diesels will have a 109 it's the power supply relay

Found the relay thanks also the led in door comes on solid and goes off after few seconds could this still be the relay ??

Is the LED solid when cranking engine and does the glow plug light come on for a few seconds then go out, also check fuse 13 & 14

Have taken cover off of rely and put back in to see off working seems to move/click ok I have also just checked fuse 14 and 15 and both seem ok ???

Am not saying your relay is faulty but clicking relay does not mean it's OK, they suffer from dry joints on the circuit board, have a look at the board.

Do a search on here there are some pics of what to look for.

Just to let you know have put in a new relay went to start but battery near flat could not hear pump at all have put battery on charge so hopefully will work

Just to let you know relay 109 changed battery fully charged car started on the button many thanks for all your advice
