Audiman Posted August 17, 2012 Report Posted August 17, 2012 My indicator light in the dash stopped working (lefthand side). Outside, the lefthand side indicators work fine.I think it's dashbard bulb that's gone faulty - if so how do I dismantle the dash to get to it? Quote

seatkid Posted August 25, 2012 Report Posted August 25, 2012 1. Lower the steering column to its lowest position to give you some more room (flick down the lever located under the column if you dont know how) 2. Look under the black plastic hood/trim that sits on the instument cluster - you will see a couple of pozidrive screws - remove these and then gently pull the hood out. 3. You will then see the cluster is held in by 4 posidrive screws around the edge of the cluster. Remove these and the cluster can then be pulled out. Quote

Audiman Posted August 28, 2012 Author Report Posted August 28, 2012 Hey Seatkid - do I need to remove the steering wheel/airbags etc. inorder to remove the cluster? Quote
SilverBeast Posted August 28, 2012 Report Posted August 28, 2012 No.If you just lower it as SeatKid suggested you can do it without removing anytning apart from the cowl and cluster I believe Quote
Audiman Posted August 29, 2012 Author Report Posted August 29, 2012 Thanks SilverBeast and Seatkid - you both know your stuff!! Quote
Audiman Posted September 8, 2012 Author Report Posted September 8, 2012 Chaps - I can't seem to remove the black plastic surround around the dash. I lowered the steering as suggested, undone two screws (took the plastic cover off the steering column) I can't see how to remove the 4 screws as suggested - surely I need to remove the black surround first ? chrispb123456 Posted September 9, 2012 Report Posted September 9, 2012 You need to look up under the top edge of the black surround remove the two screws then pull the surround from it's lower clips, then you will see the four screws that hold the cluster. Quote
seatkid Posted September 9, 2012 Report Posted September 9, 2012 Seesh....I'm lost for words..... :) Quote
