Mk1 1999 2.3 Zetec Aircon Relay

Hi, just joined the site. My car is a 2.3 petrol auto. The aircon compressor doesn't work although it did once for me and blew icy cold. It's been regassed and there are no leaks. The aircon light comes on when the button is pushed. It's the standard switch not the climate control type.

I'm thinking it could be the relay which is, I believe, on the level 2 panel.

Can any one tell me what number the relay is or point me to a previous thread.

Is there a thread that shows a relay map as it were?

Any help would be appreciated.

Get yourself Vagcom KKL lead from ebay and scan for codes, meanwhile check wiring to high/low pressure switch behind O/S front foglight area also check the outside temp sensor behind lower grill
