hi guysis your airbag light on i had the same problem on my 99 galaxy 2.3 auto

got this lead off ebay

its for a seat alahambra but it worked on on my galaxy

down loaded the software they sent me.when plugged into car choose seat alahambra mine worked on com port 3 and then choose airbags then clear faults and at only£6.99 cheep as chips i hope this is helpful

Is the software you download vcds-lite? Interested to know if you've tried to read trouble codes or done any diagnostics from your engine as elsewhere I've seen that this can be tricky with Ford engines, and I haven't been able to find any software for Ford that works with this cable - only VCDS and FiatEcuScan.

yes it is vcds-lite didnt regester my engine either

Galaxy's with VW engines that's the 1.9 diesels and the 2.8 petrol can use the vagcom/VCDS cable, the 2.0 & 2.3 Ford petrol engines use the elm 327
