Red Relay

Hi this is my first post on this excellent ody tell me what number,purpose the red relay has as the top has come off of mine position 7 on the board on a 1999 1.9tdi thanks scott

That is not a relay it's socket that a relay could plug into, it has a bridging connector fitted already so no relay is required.

What problem are you having.

Thanks for reply my problem is no electric windows I,m getting power to the switches and power to motor but just getting a click from motor when I press a window switch

I had same issue in drivers window, motor runned only shortly to both ways, but window doesn't moved.

 

There is two metal clamps installed to glass bottom inside door, front clamp was loosened and dropped to bottom of the door. So mechanism tried to push window down only from back edge and over current sensing turned motor off.

Installed clamp back and now it works fine.
