Hi I have a 2007 galaxy with privacy glass fitted the rear window was smashed just had new class fitted but it seems lighter than original have been back to natoinal windscrren they say only one privacy glass fitted it seem lighter also when you look from inside car compared to rear quater windows is this poss regards Wal

I had one of the back windows smashed couple of years ago by some low life while on hols. Can't remember who fitted it but i was at pains to point out to them on the phone that it needed to match the original tinting. Fitted and a perfect match - spot on. So i would suggest that you're being told a porky - not sure how you would proceed with this one though. You could complain to your insurance company that the job is not satisfactory because of course they will be paying the bill direct apart from your excess.

Maybe your privacy glass is not OE but aftermarket tints?

Some Most windscreen companies don't fit OE glass they have pattern parts manufactured, assuming as SK said, you don't have aftermarket tints, complain to your insurance co if you don't get any redress dealing with glass co direct.
