MadBaz Posted May 8, 2012 Report Posted May 8, 2012 Check the wiring's intact first, you could end up with same problem on a 'new' cluster.Check doors & tailgate, I vaguely recall a member had a chafed loom behind the cluster. Quote
dlt1617 Posted May 10, 2012 Report Posted May 10, 2012 Hi I just thought I'd add an extra comment, I've been having gearbox problems (mine's a 1.9 tdi auto) and I replaced the harness for the autobox. This was not actually the problem (i've still yet to sort that out) but what I found was after putting the secondhand harness on the fuel gauge fluctuated wildly including the fuel reserve warning and the speedo was in-op. Swopping back to the original harness resolved this so if it's an auto I would be looking in the direction of the gearbox harness.Sorry if it's not of use but you never know! Best wishes Dave Quote
Izza Posted May 11, 2012 Author Report Posted May 11, 2012 Hi thanks for your point. I tried the other cluster bought it from eBay, had already ordered it by the time I saw forum. Did not work same problem. My galaxy is manual 2001 1.9 tdi. Where would I find the gearbox harness. If you know pls explain if possible thanks. Quote
