glen1979 Posted April 23, 2012 Report Posted April 23, 2012 hi im new to this site and im in need of help. im having problems with the water in my expantion tank it seems to always be under presure. everytime i look under the bonnet the water is alway low hardly anythine in the tank when i open the tank it lets all the air out and then is back to the right level. towing a caravan friday and the temp light came on and the gadge went up full. pulled over and the water in the tank was boiling over. had someone to tow the caravan for me and the car was fine. havent boiled over since. changed the coolant and still under presure had new water pump nine months ago could it be the thermostat. gratfull for any help Quote
chromedome Posted April 23, 2012 Report Posted April 23, 2012 Double check for any signs of water in the engine oil. This sounds like your head gasket is on it's way out. Quote
