anitan Posted April 1, 2012 Report Posted April 1, 2012 Hi Just collected a second hand ford galaxy and have the following problem Above the temperature gauge the red light is flashing even though the needle is in the normal position. have filled with water but still comes on flashing 15 seconds after starting the engine. the electric sensor to the expansion tank seems in place but the wires are very flimsy. I am trying to drive a 200 mile trip and am unsure whether to continue or not. any thoughts please would be welcomed Quote
chrispb123456 Posted April 1, 2012 Report Posted April 1, 2012 If the lights flashing but the temp gauge is showing normal 90 deg this indicates the level is low, however if the level is correct then the sensor is faulty or connections to the sensor, if there's no loss of coolant then carry on with your journey but proceed with caution and check temp gauge for any sudden rise in temperature Quote
