Hi All

I hope someone can help me.

I have a 53 plate Galaxy, the other day i need to step on the brakes a bit sharply, then when i accelerated again there was a loud crack from the underneath of the drivers seat and now the seat tips back and forward.

On inspection i can see that the two brackets that hold the seat to the runners have broken their welds, i can see that these mounting brackets could be removed and i was wondering if anyone knows where i can buy new brackets from or will i have to get the old ones welded?

Thanks all

Maybe you need to go on a diet  I have never heard of this before, you may be able to source them from a breakers yard or take a deep breath and try the dealers.

This happened to me once before. It finished to be the back section of carpet had got trapped in the runners and the loud crack was the seat height locating in its possition.

Happened to me a few years ago now, I had them welded only to break next to the weld a few months later, bought a new seat base in the end.
