The reason why ia ask is i have noticed my turbo is running a bit slugish of late . how easy/hard is it to apply ? is it possible to run thorugh the process

as i'am ok with basics other wise it go's in the local garage

From what I can find on the internet it is special carb cleaner and is sprayed into the air intake. I am guessing you spray it in after the MAF to avoid damaging it and get it further down the air intake?

My galaxy goes into limp mode occasionally, usually in damp conditions whilst doing 'progressive' acceleration. Fairly sure turbo veins are coked up.

I imagine the cleaning spray helps a little, but it has to go through the engine and out through the exhaust manifold before it gets to the coked up turbo on the exhaust side. It is good to hear that it does seem to work. I am tempted to try on my old galaxy as it has done 160k and feels a bit clogged up.

Interested to know how you apply it, and whether anyone has found a cheaper alternative? Removing the turbo is a bit of of my comfort zone, so would be good if I can make things better with a can of spray :)

Cheers,

Nick

By the way, you can get the can of the 10k spray on ebay for 15 quid all in, otherwise it is 20 from halfords if you pick it up. I like the idea of getting it from halfords incase it knackers up my engine and I can try and claim off them :)

Thanks to all on forum!

Just followed this thread as had Turbo overboosting too. Fod changed control valve (after assuring me it would fix the problem) with no effect.

Sprayed 10k yesterday and all seems fine. Definitely more power. Just need to test the car heavily loaded (when normally cuts into limp mode).

But looking good!
