storm_rider Posted February 28, 2012 Report Posted February 28, 2012 (edited) Hi, I have just had the brake light warning light come on in my 08 Galaxy, this turns out to be the High level LED light on the tailgate. I have looked and it seems like it could be a wiring issue, does anyone know if this is a known problem or any other reasons it could have just stopped working. Many thanks Edited February 29, 2012 by Bigjeeze Quote
pearly king of surbiton Posted February 28, 2012 Report Posted February 28, 2012 i know it sounds an obvious point, but first you must check whether all the rear brake lights, including the high level light, are working. sometimes the warning light is a bulb failure light, at least on volvosall the bestjohn Quote
storm_rider Posted February 28, 2012 Author Report Posted February 28, 2012 Hi, Thanks for replying so quickly, the other break lights are indeed working so i'm sure it is not a fuse issue. Any ideas? Quote
zorgman Posted February 28, 2012 Report Posted February 28, 2012 get a voltmeter/tester on it if its dead check see if wire broke in rubber tube, bit young car to have that problem tho Quote
storm_rider Posted March 7, 2012 Author Report Posted March 7, 2012 Many thanks to those who replied, it was indeed a broken wire. this has now been replaced and the light is working fine. Quote
