NikpV Posted February 24, 2012 Report Posted February 24, 2012 (edited) Strange one here guys Over the last couple of days I've noticed that my diesel Galaxy is noisier at idle than usual. Once the engine is under load it seems ok. I had the sound deadening felt out during the summer, and it almost sounds like that? Should I be worried about this, or just turn the radio up? The car starts easily from cold, it's done 63k (new timing belt last summer), It's a 1.9 TDi (115bhp) on an 04 plate. Full service every year and all the correct oils used. (I've done a search on this and can't believe that I did a similar post in 2005 about a noisy engine while under load, resolved that one by buying this car?) Thanks in anticipation Bill seized alternator pully ????? its in the faq somewhere but here it is Edited February 24, 2012 by NikpV Quote
zorgman Posted February 24, 2012 Report Posted February 24, 2012 tapping, clicking warm or hot giz some type of clues here what type of noise were not clairvoyant on here yet but we give a good go at it.you checked your oil, had a poke about rough where it comes from or just being paranoid about noise Quote
wjfe Posted February 24, 2012 Author Report Posted February 24, 2012 No Mate, just sounds noiser, as in a louder diesel engine noise (like the old ones) Anyway, Popped over to my local repair garage who think its the aux belt and tensioner. I've booked it in for Wednesday, I'll let you know what happens? Cheers Bill Quote
