Galaxy Maf No Resistor.

My mk2 galaxy 1.9tdi 115 auy engine has a loss of power intermittently whilst driving. obviously this could be dangerous if overtaking.

decided to clean maf with carb cleaner & noticed that the maf does not have a resistor although the clip in pins are there. is this normal.

cos ford are greedy so n so's. yours could be the type where you cant see it. to see if maf is working drive car along road then unplug maf and try the same, if cars worse maf is fine if now difference its caput. dont blame the maf for limp mode it may well be n75 or turbo.
