How Do I Get To The Fuses?

Hi, the front & rear wipers on my '53 1.9TDi Galaxy have stopped working. I'm trying to check the fuse (No. 23 I think) but they are 'protected' by a clear plastic cover. Any ideas on how to remove this safely without damaging the fuse housing?

The plastic cover has a locking tab on each end, a flat blade screwdriver fed up from below by the pedals.

Cheers! And only managed to remove a small piece of skin in the process. Cover now removed nd probably won't be going back on!!

 

Checked the fuses as per handbook - all OK. Then found this post:-
